Resolução Normativa Nº 100 do Conselho Nacional de Imigração

The Brazilian Immigration Counsel enacted the Normative Resolution # 100 on April 23th, 2013 which governs the granting a temporary work permit to foreigners who intends to come to Brazil to transfer technology or to provide technical assistance services for a specified period up to 90 days and it must be applied only at Brazilian Consular Office abroad without any judgment from Brazilian Department of Labor (Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego).

The Resolution shall come into force on May 9th, 2013.

The Brazilian Department of Labor will accept the appliance of the temporary work permit based on art. 6th of Normative Resolution #61 by May 8th, 2013. As from May 9th, 2013 all requested must be addressed only to Brazilian Consular Office abroad.

The Resolution has revoked the art. 6th of Normative Resolution #61, December 8th, 2004 which foreseen the judgment of any any work permit appliance based on technical assistance by the Brazilian Department of Labor.

As a time requirement this visa can only be granted once in a 180 days period.

There are no renewal or extension. A foreign can be in Brazil up to 90 days and will be abroad 90 days before apply for this visa again.
